# PandaVPN vs WIRE TUN

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: WIRE TUN at none against PandaVPN's 9. WIRE TUN also leads on update cadence (daily vs every 3 weeks) and review sentiment (50% vs 21%). PandaVPN's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.3 vs 3.9). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PandaVPN sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. WIRE TUN asks for nothing beyond the download.

PandaVPN holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PandaVPN has 16K ratings behind it against 491, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 21% of PandaVPN's written reviews are positive against 50% of WIRE TUN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PandaVPN ships an update every 3 weeks, WIRE TUN daily. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
