# OpenFly vs Mirai Flights

The clearest difference is rating: OpenFly at 4.8 against Mirai Flights's 4.0. Mirai Flights's advantage is review sentiment (72% vs 50%) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

OpenFly holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mirai Flights has 27 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of OpenFly's written reviews are positive against 72% of Mirai Flights's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

OpenFly ships an update every 6 weeks, Mirai Flights every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
