# Theta Wallet vs TAO.com

The clearest difference is rating: TAO.com at 4.3 against Theta Wallet's 3.8. TAO.com also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). Theta Wallet's advantage is ratings volume (169 vs 29) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.4). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

TAO.com holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Theta Wallet has 169 ratings behind it against 29, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 45% of Theta Wallet's written reviews are positive against 40% of TAO.com's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Theta Wallet ships an update every 2 months, TAO.com every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
