# BAZZ Smart Home vs Hilo

The clearest difference is update cadence: Hilo at every 3 weeks against BAZZ Smart Home's every 5 months. BAZZ Smart Home's advantage is ratings volume (417 vs 6) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.4). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BAZZ Smart Home holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BAZZ Smart Home has 417 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 36% of BAZZ Smart Home's written reviews are positive against 40% of Hilo's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BAZZ Smart Home ships an update every 5 months, Hilo every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
