# Purple Visits vs Countdown

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Purple Visits at none against Countdown's 1. Purple Visits also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). Countdown's advantage is update cadence (every 10 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Countdown sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Purple Visits asks for nothing beyond the download.

Purple Visits ships an update every 3 weeks, Countdown every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
