# SWim vs SwimNow

The clearest difference is rating: SwimNow at 4.9 against SWim's 1.0. SwimNow also leads on update cadence (weekly vs monthly) and ratings volume (44 vs 1). SWim's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SWim sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and SwimNow sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SwimNow holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SwimNow has 44 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SWim ships an update monthly, SwimNow weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
