The clearest difference is ads: Sliding Block at none against Hidden Journey's shown. Sliding Block also leads on iOS requirement (10.0 vs 13.0). Hidden Journey's advantage is ratings volume (26K vs 253) and review sentiment (52% vs 40%). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hidden Journey sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Sliding Block sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Hidden Journey against 4.5 for Sliding Block.
