# Agape App vs Delta Chat

The clearest difference is rating: Agape App at 5.0 against Delta Chat's 4.5. Agape App also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.6). Delta Chat's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 5) and review sentiment (63% vs 33%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Agape App sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Delta Chat asks for nothing beyond the download.

Agape App holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Delta Chat has 128 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of Agape App's written reviews are positive against 63% of Delta Chat's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Agape App ships an update weekly, Delta Chat every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
