# Patterned vs Draw it+

The clearest difference is monetization model: Draw it+ at free against Patterned's paid. Draw it+ also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). Patterned's advantage is review sentiment (71% vs 35%) and rating (4.8 vs 4.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Patterned holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Patterned has 38K ratings behind it against 2.5K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 71% of Patterned's written reviews are positive against 35% of Draw it+'s.

Patterned ships an update every 3 weeks, Draw it+ weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
