# ‎iArtbook vs Tools for Procreate

The clearest difference is rating: Tools for Procreate at 4.6 against ‎iArtbook's 3.8. ‎iArtbook's advantage is review sentiment (44% vs 24%) and chart position (#110 vs unranked). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ‎iArtbook sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Tools for Procreate sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tools for Procreate holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 12K and 17K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of ‎iArtbook's written reviews are positive against 24% of Tools for Procreate's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

‎iArtbook ships an update every 8 days, Tools for Procreate weekly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
