# UPG vs New Gate

UPG and New Gate both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of New Gate's written reviews are positive against 45% of UPG's. New Gate also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.6). UPG's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (219 vs 1). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. New Gate sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. UPG asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for UPG against 5.0 for New Gate. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: UPG has 219 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
