# Password Manager & Generator vs Privacy Protector Pro

The clearest difference is monetization model: Privacy Protector Pro at free with in-app purchases against Password Manager & Generator's subscription. Password Manager & Generator's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.0) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Password Manager & Generator sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Privacy Protector Pro sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $8.49 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Password Manager & Generator holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Password Manager & Generator has 1.4K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
