# RPG Ambition Record vs Edge Born

The clearest difference is update cadence: Edge Born at every 4 days against RPG Ambition Record's every 3 months. Edge Born also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and price ($3.99 vs $8.99). RPG Ambition Record's advantage is review sentiment (75% vs 50%) and ratings volume (42 vs 1). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

RPG Ambition Record costs $8.99 and Edge Born $3.99 up front. RPG Ambition Record sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Edge Born sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Edge Born holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RPG Ambition Record has 42 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of RPG Ambition Record's written reviews are positive against 50% of Edge Born's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

RPG Ambition Record ships an update every 3 months, Edge Born every 4 days. Both last shipped on October 15, 2026.
