# Infobase eBooks vs EBSCO Mobile

The clearest difference is monetization model: EBSCO Mobile at free against Infobase eBooks's subscription. EBSCO Mobile also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (78 vs 8). Infobase eBooks's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 32%) and rating (3.9 vs 3.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Infobase eBooks holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EBSCO Mobile has 78 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 67% of Infobase eBooks's written reviews are positive against 32% of EBSCO Mobile's.

Infobase eBooks ships an update every 6 months, EBSCO Mobile monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
