# Hornady Reloading Guide vs Pro Cirrus

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Pro Cirrus at 100% against Hornady Reloading Guide's 31%. Pro Cirrus also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). Hornady Reloading Guide's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (17K vs 16). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hornady Reloading Guide sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per year. Pro Cirrus asks for nothing beyond the download.

Hornady Reloading Guide holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hornady Reloading Guide has 17K ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 31% of Hornady Reloading Guide's written reviews are positive against 100% of Pro Cirrus's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Hornady Reloading Guide ships an update every 2 months, Pro Cirrus every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
