# EC Play vs Mega IPTV

The clearest difference is rating: EC Play at 5.0 against Mega IPTV's 4.5. EC Play also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4) and ads (none vs shown). Mega IPTV's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (3.6K vs 2). On price, review sentiment, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mega IPTV sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. EC Play asks for nothing beyond the download.

EC Play holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mega IPTV has 3.6K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of EC Play's written reviews are positive against 45% of Mega IPTV's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

EC Play ships an update every 3 months, Mega IPTV weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
