# EC Play vs IPTV Smarters Player PRO

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: EC Play at none against IPTV Smarters Player PRO's 4. EC Play also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). IPTV Smarters Player PRO's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (1.4K vs 2). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. IPTV Smarters Player PRO sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. EC Play asks for nothing beyond the download.

EC Play holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IPTV Smarters Player PRO has 1.4K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of EC Play's written reviews are positive against 59% of IPTV Smarters Player PRO's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

EC Play ships an update every 3 months, IPTV Smarters Player PRO weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
