# Mimecast Security Agent vs Password Manager

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Mimecast Security Agent at none against Password Manager's 7. Mimecast Security Agent also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). Password Manager's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (3.1K vs 2). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Password Manager sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Mimecast Security Agent asks for nothing beyond the download.

Mimecast Security Agent holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Password Manager has 3.1K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Mimecast Security Agent ships an update every 3 months, Password Manager fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
