# DrawPlan vs Napkin Plan

DrawPlan and Napkin Plan both sit at 3.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 50% of Napkin Plan's written reviews are positive against 13% of DrawPlan's. Napkin Plan also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs weekly). DrawPlan's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (5.3K vs 4). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DrawPlan sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Napkin Plan sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 3.5 for DrawPlan against 3.5 for Napkin Plan. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DrawPlan has 5.3K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 13% of DrawPlan's written reviews are positive against 50% of Napkin Plan's.

DrawPlan ships an update weekly, Napkin Plan every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
