# Wicrypt vs Uplink App

The clearest difference is rating: Uplink App at 5.0 against Wicrypt's 3.8. Wicrypt's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 59%) and ads (none vs shown). On price, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Uplink App holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 5 and 3 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Wicrypt's written reviews are positive against 59% of Uplink App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Wicrypt ships an update every 3 weeks, Uplink App every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
