# AmpUp vs BluePlanet EV

The clearest difference is review sentiment: BluePlanet EV at 100% against AmpUp's 37%. BluePlanet EV also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). AmpUp's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 3.4) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 11 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

AmpUp holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AmpUp has 4.5K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 37% of AmpUp's written reviews are positive against 100% of BluePlanet EV's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

AmpUp ships an update every 2 weeks, BluePlanet EV every 11 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
