# HighballTV vs OVID

The clearest difference is monetization model: HighballTV at free with in-app purchases against OVID's subscription. On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HighballTV sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and OVID sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
