# DayDay vs Shared Countdowns

The clearest difference is update cadence: Shared Countdowns at every 9 days against DayDay's every 3 weeks. DayDay's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 26.5). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DayDay sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Shared Countdowns sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DayDay ships an update every 3 weeks, Shared Countdowns every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
