# Quick Timer vs MP4 Maker

The clearest difference is rating: MP4 Maker at 4.6 against Quick Timer's 3.0. MP4 Maker also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs every 8 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Quick Timer sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month and MP4 Maker sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MP4 Maker holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MP4 Maker has 2.4K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.
