# Quick Timer vs Timer

The clearest difference is rating: Timer at 4.4 against Quick Timer's 3.0. Timer also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 8 months). Quick Timer's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Quick Timer sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month and Timer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Timer holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Timer has 442 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 0% of Quick Timer's written reviews are positive against 20% of Timer's.

Quick Timer ships an update every 8 months, Timer every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
