# VIA Maldives vs Avas App

The clearest difference is review sentiment: VIA Maldives at 100% against Avas App's 67%. VIA Maldives also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 16.4). Avas App's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and rating (4.7 vs 4.5). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Avas App holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 21 and 17 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of VIA Maldives's written reviews are positive against 67% of Avas App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

VIA Maldives ships an update every 2 months, Avas App fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
