# Tband vs SMART

The clearest difference is rating: SMART at 4.5 against Tband's 3.3. SMART also leads on ratings volume (1.4K vs 16). Tband's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SMART sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Tband asks for nothing beyond the download.

SMART holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SMART has 1.4K ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of Tband's written reviews are positive against 19% of SMART's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Tband ships an update every 2 weeks, SMART monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
