# IKEA vs Rowen Homes

IKEA and Rowen Homes both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 88% of Rowen Homes's written reviews are positive against 53% of IKEA's. Rowen Homes also leads on iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.0). IKEA's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (150K vs 76). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for IKEA against 4.9 for Rowen Homes. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IKEA has 150K ratings behind it against 76, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 53% of IKEA's written reviews are positive against 88% of Rowen Homes's.

IKEA ships an update fortnightly, Rowen Homes every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
