# [solidcore] vs Scout Studios

The clearest difference is rating: [solidcore] at 4.9 against Scout Studios's 4.0. [solidcore] also leads on ratings volume (29K vs 3) and chart position (#187 vs unranked). Scout Studios's advantage is review sentiment (60% vs 21%) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

[solidcore] holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: [solidcore] has 29K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 21% of [solidcore]'s written reviews are positive against 60% of Scout Studios's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

[solidcore] ships an update every 6 weeks, Scout Studios every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
