# [solidcore] vs MegaMode Studio

The clearest difference is monetization model: [solidcore] at free against MegaMode Studio's free with in-app purchases. [solidcore] also leads on ratings volume (29K vs 2) and chart position (#140 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for [solidcore] against 5.0 for MegaMode Studio. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: [solidcore] has 29K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

[solidcore] ships an update every 6 weeks, MegaMode Studio every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
