# NX vs Express Camera

The clearest difference is rating: Express Camera at 5.0 against NX's 4.1. NX's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (22 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Express Camera holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NX has 22 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

NX ships an update every 3 weeks, Express Camera every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
