# Glitterr vs Glitter Effect Studio

Glitterr and Glitter Effect Studio both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Glitter Effect Studio's written reviews are positive against 52% of Glitterr's. Glitter Effect Studio also leads on iOS requirement (12.2 vs 17.6). Glitterr's advantage is ratings volume (2.2K vs 50). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Glitterr sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Glitter Effect Studio sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Glitterr against 4.5 for Glitter Effect Studio. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Glitterr has 2.2K ratings behind it against 50, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 52% of Glitterr's written reviews are positive against 100% of Glitter Effect Studio's.

Glitterr ships an update weekly, Glitter Effect Studio every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
