# Milkshake vs CommentExtractor

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Milkshake at 89% against CommentExtractor's 24%. Milkshake also leads on rating (4.9 vs 3.7) and ads (none vs shown). CommentExtractor's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Milkshake sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and CommentExtractor sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Milkshake holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Milkshake has 15K ratings behind it against 65, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 89% of Milkshake's written reviews are positive against 24% of CommentExtractor's.

Milkshake ships an update every 3 weeks, CommentExtractor weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
