# Eversource Energy vs Wave Passport

The clearest difference is rating: Eversource Energy at 4.8 against Wave Passport's 3.0. Eversource Energy also leads on ratings volume (42K vs 2) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 18.0). Wave Passport's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Eversource Energy holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Eversource Energy has 42K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Eversource Energy ships an update every 3 months, Wave Passport every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on November 8, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
