# Awesome Breathing vs MassMetrics

The clearest difference is ads: Awesome Breathing at none against MassMetrics's shown. Awesome Breathing also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (1.4K vs 3). MassMetrics's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 5 months). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Awesome Breathing sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and MassMetrics sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Awesome Breathing against 5.0 for MassMetrics. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Awesome Breathing has 1.4K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 97% of Awesome Breathing's written reviews are positive against 100% of MassMetrics's.

Awesome Breathing ships an update every 5 months, MassMetrics every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
