# Windowpane vs Lenz

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Lenz at none against Windowpane's 3. Windowpane's advantage is ratings volume (7 vs 1) and iOS requirement (10.3 vs 15.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Windowpane sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Lenz asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Windowpane against 5.0 for Lenz. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Windowpane has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Windowpane ships an update fortnightly, Lenz monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and September 25, 2026 respectively.
