# VIM vs Wheel Done

The clearest difference is ads: VIM at none against Wheel Done's shown. VIM also leads on review sentiment (50% vs 25%) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). Wheel Done's advantage is rating (3.9 vs 3.5) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VIM sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Wheel Done sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Wheel Done holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wheel Done has 44 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of VIM's written reviews are positive against 25% of Wheel Done's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

VIM ships an update every 2 months, Wheel Done every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
