# eSmartLock vs STLight

The clearest difference is rating: STLight at 5.0 against eSmartLock's 2.3. STLight also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 13.0). eSmartLock's advantage is review sentiment (32% vs 0%) and ratings volume (159 vs 1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. eSmartLock sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. STLight asks for nothing beyond the download.

STLight holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: eSmartLock has 159 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 32% of eSmartLock's written reviews are positive against 0% of STLight's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

eSmartLock ships an update every 2 months, STLight every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
