# Notes for Apple Watch vs Cloud Notes

The clearest difference is rating: Notes for Apple Watch at 4.3 against Cloud Notes's 3.0. Notes for Apple Watch also leads on ratings volume (2.7K vs 4) and update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). Cloud Notes's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 40%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notes for Apple Watch sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Cloud Notes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Notes for Apple Watch holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notes for Apple Watch has 2.7K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of Notes for Apple Watch's written reviews are positive against 50% of Cloud Notes's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Notes for Apple Watch ships an update weekly, Cloud Notes fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
