# TOCPolice vs Flipper Map

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: TOCPolice at none against Flipper Map's 3. TOCPolice also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.6). Flipper Map's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 13 months) and ratings volume (6 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flipper Map sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. TOCPolice asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for TOCPolice against 5.0 for Flipper Map. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flipper Map has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

TOCPolice ships an update every 13 months, Flipper Map every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
