# MemCards vs MagicMemo

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: MemCards at none against MagicMemo's 4. MemCards also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 75%) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 16.0). MagicMemo's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.3). On price, ratings volume, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MagicMemo sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. MemCards asks for nothing beyond the download.

MagicMemo holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 4 and 8 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of MemCards's written reviews are positive against 75% of MagicMemo's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
