# HomeChef vs lamon.go

The clearest difference is update cadence: lamon.go at every 2 days against HomeChef's every 6 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HomeChef sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.49 per 2 months and lamon.go sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

HomeChef ships an update every 6 weeks, lamon.go every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
