# 5Strands vs everlywell

The clearest difference is rating: everlywell at 4.9 against 5Strands's 4.4. everlywell also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (9.9K vs 149). 5Strands's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (81% vs 48%). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 5Strands sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month. everlywell asks for nothing beyond the download.

everlywell holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: everlywell has 9.9K ratings behind it against 149, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 81% of 5Strands's written reviews are positive against 48% of everlywell's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

5Strands ships an update every 5 days, everlywell fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 20, 2026.
