# Mittens vs TaskForge

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Mittens at none against TaskForge's 3. Mittens also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.6). TaskForge's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 5 weeks) and ratings volume (108 vs 2). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TaskForge sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Mittens asks for nothing beyond the download.

Mittens holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TaskForge has 108 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Mittens ships an update every 5 weeks, TaskForge every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
