# VectorPad vs Caricature Maker

The clearest difference is rating: Caricature Maker at 4.0 against VectorPad's 3.1. Caricature Maker also leads on update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 23 months) and ratings volume (88 vs 14). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VectorPad sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Caricature Maker sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Caricature Maker holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Caricature Maker has 88 ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 27% of VectorPad's written reviews are positive against 20% of Caricature Maker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

VectorPad ships an update every 23 months, Caricature Maker every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
