# Twig vs Echolong

The clearest difference is rating: Echolong at 5.0 against Twig's 4.6. Echolong also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 75%) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Twig's advantage is ratings volume (539 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Twig sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Echolong sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Echolong holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Twig has 539 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 75% of Twig's written reviews are positive against 100% of Echolong's.
