# Twig vs Knewness

The clearest difference is rating: Knewness at 5.0 against Twig's 4.6. Knewness also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 75%) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 5 weeks). Twig's advantage is ratings volume (539 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Twig sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Knewness sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Knewness holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Twig has 539 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 75% of Twig's written reviews are positive against 100% of Knewness's.

Twig ships an update every 5 weeks, Knewness every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
