# Tazar vs GEN

The clearest difference is rating: Tazar at 5.0 against GEN's 2.8. Tazar also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 5) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks). GEN's advantage is ratings volume (6 vs 1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GEN sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Tazar asks for nothing beyond the download.

Tazar holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GEN has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Tazar ships an update every 9 days, GEN every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
