# Pasture Pro vs MakeSpec

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: MakeSpec at none against Pasture Pro's 6. MakeSpec also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 5 weeks). Pasture Pro's advantage is ratings volume (17 vs 1) and device support (3 vs 1). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pasture Pro sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. MakeSpec asks for nothing beyond the download.

MakeSpec holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pasture Pro has 17 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Pasture Pro ships an update every 5 weeks, MakeSpec every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
