# Verizon Protect vs RunLink Treadmill

The clearest difference is monetization model: RunLink Treadmill at free against Verizon Protect's free with in-app purchases. RunLink Treadmill also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Verizon Protect's advantage is ratings volume (45K vs 1) and chart position (#97 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

RunLink Treadmill holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Verizon Protect has 45K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
